| Welcome to Mad Fox Designs!
Greetings! Thanks for visiting Mad Fox Designs! My name is Sue, and I don many hats: artist, photographer, leatherworker, webmistress, K-9 Handler, and emergency medical technician with Broadalbin Volunteer Ambulance Corp. This website has undergone a transformation, to become a portfolio of sorts, showcasing what I consider some of my best works, and favorite topics. The Mad Fox Designs website originated as a business site for selling custom, hand made leather martingale collars. You can see some of the collars I've made on the Collars & Leashes page. I now only take very few special orders, as the time commitment for the number of orders I was taking got to be too much. I like it this way - it allows me to dedicate more time and care to every minute detail of each collar I make. Many of the collars I make today are for fund raisers for non-profit organizations. These have included everything from small, private rescue groups across the country, and local breed clubs, to larger national organizations such as the Weimaraner Club of America. "Why Mad Fox?" I once did medieval reenactments quite frequently. My heraldric device included a fox rampant. I learned many skills over the years of participation; some are fairly useless for modern times. Leatherwork, metal work (cold and hot), pewter casting, brewing beer and mixing cordials, to name but a few. Every time I would show a certain friend my latest work, he would say to me, "You're mad!" He would also ask me, "Is there anything you can't do?" and my standard reply became, "Anything I don't try." Now, all of my work falls under the name of "Mad Fox Designs."
